The environmental testing and evaluation laboratory uses its equipment, testing resources and the know-how of its team to offer its customers solutions adapted to their needs, whether in the development, investigation or qualification phase.
Located in the Sophia-Antipolis technology cluster in southeastern France, the laboratory has over 40 years of expertise in environmental testing and offers a full range of tests for Thales products as well as for any external company developing industrial equipment.
The laboratory is able to adapt to all types of situations within a framework of total confidentiality.
The laboratory is accredited and monitored every year by the Comité Français d'Accréditation (French Accreditation Committee). We are regularly audited for our operational quality and technical standard.
COFRAC accreditation is a guarantee of quality in the test process and methodology.
Mechanical tests
The purpose of vibration and shock tests is to reproduce the stresses that a system can sustain during transport or operation under normal or extreme conditions.
EMC (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility) tests
Electronic systems often operate in close proximity to other equipment with electronic functions. These systems can interfere with each other and cause malfunctions.
Climatic tests
Climatic tests consist in testing the behaviour of an equipment in its future nominal operating environment in terms of temperature and humidity.
Pressure tests
The purpose of pressure tests is to simulate the effects of an increase or decrease of depth on equipment intended to be used in civilian or military nautical environments.
Acoustic tests
Acoustic tests allow to characterize the noise generated by complete systems.
Our laboratory has the necessary power supplies of electricity, water and compressed air for the
equipment undergoign testing:
