The T²CASTM safety avionics system combines actual aircraft climb performance-based Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS) capabilities into the TCAS 2000 line-replaceable unit (LRU). T²CAS is the only TAWS to provide avoidance alerts based on actual aircraft performance data, virtually eliminating nuisance warnings. Our system provides avoidance alerts based on the aircraft's actual ability to climb, not based on standard climb rates and an assumption that all critical functions are performing properly.
Along with optional Windshear and GPS, the system provides a powerful combination of functionality. Performance-based T²CAS can be applied to any air transport, regional, business or military aircraft to avoid Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT), which gives operators more time to clear terrain and traffic with an increased margin to maneuver.
T²CAS meets and exceeds all the terrain safety features required by the TAWS TSO-C151a and Windshear C117a standards.
