Thales’ connectivity experience is wide and highly developed. As we look to the future, we are focusing on the following areas:

Thales is a specialist in comms and connectivity, with experience that dates back over 40 years. We have developed world class products such as Top Flight Satcom and our European Aviation Network success has seen high-speed in-flight connectivity dramatically enhance passenger experience for people across the continent.
Part of our success is due to our commitment to invest in developing new ideas and approaches that will benefit our customers. Examples of this include the SAVANA project for networking building blocks, CleanSky2 for distributed communications architectures and HICLASS for SOC in the sky.
We also maintain strategic links with universities such as Cranfield and Southampton to underpin our innovation. We also participate in key working groups in this domain, including: EUROCAE WG-96 on Wireless Intra-Aircraft Communications (WAIC), ARINC APIM CNS SDR architecture.
