New appointments at Thales
- Jean-Loïc Galle, currently Executive Vice President, Space, will be appointed Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Performance Officer, succeeding Pierre Eric Pommellet, effective 20 February 2020.
- Hervé Derrey, currently Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Secure Information and Communications Systems, will be proposed, in agreement with Leonardo, at the next meeting of the Board of Directors of Thales Alenia Space, as the successor to Jean-Loïc Galle in the positions of Executive Vice President, Space, and Chief Executive Officer of the joint venture Thales Alenia Space, effective 20 February 2020. Hervé Derrey will join the Thales Executive Committee.
- After 9 years as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Thales UK, Victor Chavez has decided to step down from the role.
- Alex Cresswell, currently Executive Vice President, Land and Air Systems, is appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Thales UK, effective 30 March 2020. He remains on the Thales Executive Committee. Victor will work with Alex over the next few months to ensure a smooth transition. Alex’s successor has been chosen and will be announced shortly.
