The Thales Graduate Program focuses on developing talented graduates to help us deliver extraordinary high technology solutions. Beginning in February each year, and spanning 18 months in duration, the program consists of specialist on-the-job training and a variety of structured learning modules (both technical and non-technical).
Throughout the 18 months, graduates have the opportunity to learn about the wider Thales business, visiting our many sites Australia wide. You will become not only an expert in your own area, but gain valuable exposure to a wide range of Thales leading solutions.
To support you through this journey we provide you with a mentor and buddy from day 1.
We are proud to be recognised in the Australian Financial Review Top 100 Graduate Programs and as a Top 10 Most Popular Engineering Employers. At Thales we need extraordinary people to create extraordinary solutions, this is why we believe in giving you an extraordinary experience!
Our 18-month graduate program is focused on showing you all the diverse and exciting aspects of our people and our business. We look for the brightest sparks from a range of engineering backgrounds including Mechatronics, Software, Mechanical and Electrical; just to name a few.
If you’re not an engineer, fear not! We also have Business and Operations related programs and welcome a variety of degrees to apply.
Whilst we take into consideration your study, what we really care about is your passion and willingness to learn. We look for graduates who are eager to take responsibility, willing to speak up and provide business insights and display technical prowess.

Step 2: Candidates we feel could add to the Thales culture will be sent an online video interview. It’s a quick process which can be done at a convenient time for yourself. The video aims for us to get to know you better.
Step 3: You will be invited to attend an interview where you’ll learn more about Thales and be assessed both behaviourally and technically. This interview is equally an opportunity for you to gain an understanding of our working environment and the manager who could be supporting you.
Step 4: If successful, we’ll conduct pre-employment checks (medical and police check) and then make an offer!
