Thales supports this project annually, and invites young girls to both Ditzingen and Arnstadt, where they could spend an exciting day in a high-tech company. Those girls that took part get an insight into our fields of activity and learned all about future-oriented vocational training and study opportunities in the technical fields. The day is focused around a small technical project which the girls implemented with the help of the current apprentices and students on dual courses. This helped them to gain practical experience and try their hands in the technical world, while getting information about the various professional fields along the way.
In addition to our participation in the annual Girls’ Day, we are (among other things) a Pact Partner of the nationwide initiative Komm mach MINT, which translates as Go MINT (MINT = Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Science and Technology.
"Go MINT" is the only initiative to address women and MINT at national level. The information portal www.komm-mach-mint.de provides an overview of and guide to the wide range of initiatives for attracting the next generation of female employees, with practical tips, advice on the best approaches and a national project map providing information about more than 1,000 projects.
