Mr Lim Tuang Liang is currently the Executive Director of the Research, Innovation and Enterprise Coordination Office, National Research Foundation, where he oversees the development of strategic technology roadmaps for Singapore, repositioning Singapore industries through technology development to remain competitive in future business environments.
Mr Lim, as board member of the Defence Science Technology Agency (DSTA) and Defence Science Organisation (DSO) from 2017-2018, provided strategic guidance in the development of the defence science capability in Singapore. As board member of IE Singapore from 2013-2018, he contributed towards assisting Singapore companies in their internationalisation efforts. Prior to joining the NRF, Mr Lim was the Chief of Staff – Joint Staff in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), where he oversaw the long term technology development strategy for the SAF.
Mr Lim holds a Masters of Engineering, First Class from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London and a Masters of Business Administration from the Sloan Fellows Program, MIT, USA.
