Training and Development
Investing in life long learning and growth
Once you’ve joined Thales, we host an Early Careers Induction, where graduates and apprentices from across the UK come together for a fun experience, just like 'Freshers Week'.
You will then be enrolled upon your chosen apprenticeship programme and will start to work towards your industry recognised qualifications. All of our apprentice roles are carefully mapped to the competencies within your apprenticeship, ensuring that you have exposure to the right type of work at the right time. We also provide additional in-house training pathways, designed to enhance your interpersonal skills and support your professional growth.
On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a promotion into your next role within the business. If you aspire to do so, there will be an opportunity to discuss future progression onto higher level learning, or membership of a relevant professional body such as the IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology) or the APM (Association of Project Managers).
What are the Benefits of Our Apprenticeships?
We value our people as the heart of our business
At Thales, we ensure that our apprentices receive a variety of benefits to assist them as they advance.
Our Early Careers salary models are competitive and transparent, allowing you to have complete visibility of your expected progression from day one to programme completion. Additionally, we have an extensive support system in place, offering coaching, mentoring, and overall support for all those in the early stages of their career.
At Thales, we also fully sponsor qualifications attained through apprenticeships and we have a range of supportive policies to aid you at work. If you're interested in volunteering, you'll have the chance to contribute 80 hours of volunteer work during the first 2 years of the programme, followed by 24 hours for each subsequent year as a Thales employee.
