Thales in the UK Re-Signs the Armed Forces Covenant
Thales has reaffirmed its commitment to the Armed Forces Community by re-signing the Armed Forces Covenant, maintaining its status as a Gold Award holder in the Ministry of Defence's Employer Recognition Scheme. For over a decade, Thales has integrated this covenant into its core values, providing meaningful career opportunities and support for military personnel, veterans, reservists, and their families, who make up at least 10% of its UK workforce.
The revitalised Covenant expands support for service families, offering greater leave flexibility during deployments and enhanced volunteering opportunities. All employees receive 24 hours of annual volunteering leave, with an additional two weeks granted to reservists and Adult Cadet Force Volunteers.
Thales aims to recruit over 100 Armed Forces Community members annually, collaborating with the Career Transition Partnership and Forces Families Jobs, to provide tailored entry routes into the company. Thales also supports military charities and local communities, including initiatives to support the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the Royal British Legion. As Thales continues to grow and innovate, we remain steadfast in our commitment to the Armed Forces Community.
