Thales partners with Parents at Work
Never before has work and family life been so intertwined. The impact of Covid-19 restrictions has highlighted the struggle many of us face when creating pop-up workspaces at home, combined with domestic life and caring duties.
One of our aims is to support our employees to thrive at work and at home by allowing everyone to successfully balance their career, family, and well-being at every stage of life.
Just one of the initiatives we’re implementing is becoming an employer member of Parents At Work; a membership-based organisation that provides work and family education and policy advisory services.
The goal for Parents At Work is to bridge the work and home divide by embedding flexibility, wellbeing, parental transition and wider caring services to enable workplaces and their people to thrive.
According to Ronan Carolan, VP Human Resources, partnering with Parents At Work was an easy decision given the progress we have made to date with our DE&I strategy, and also the work we plan to do over the coming 12 months.
“As an organisation, we understand the lines between home and work are more blurred than ever and it’s our job to help our people be successful in all aspects of their life.”
We are very much looking forward to a long partnership with the company and to see them leading the way in family friendly practices within the technology and defence space.

One of our coaching participants provided the following feedback
“Returning to work after a year off on maternity leave with my beautiful son was quite an adjustment; one that I’d not necessarily prepared for! I’d under estimated the complete life change and was so very grateful for Thales offering me the Parents at Work program, and in particular my brilliant coach Lisa. Lisa was a knowledgeable, friendly, understanding coach who was able to provide very relatable experiences and support during the early days and weeks.
