Sovereign Airspace Management
In 1994, Airservices Australia, responsible for Australia’s sovereign airspace, awarded Thales a contract to develop the Australian Advanced Air Traffic Control System (TAAATS).
TAAATS was successfully delivered to Airservices Australia in 1997 and has been progressively enhanced and modernised to reflect changing technologies and requirements and as such is one of the world’s most advanced Air Traffic Management systems.
Following this success , experience, knowledge and the investments to create a sovereign ATM capability in Australia, Thales Australia is currently developing the worlds truly first fully harmonised Civil Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSky Australia), for Airservices Australia and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), to navigate 11 per cent of the world's airspace.
